Trauma-informed care means working to avoid retraumatization in all interaction, meeting the survivor where they are at, not seeing survivors as problems to be fixed, recognizing and applauding a survivors strengths and ways of coping and prioritizing the survivors needs, choices, and ideas. In this workshops we will learn and practice the skills needs to create safer spaces for survivors where trauma-informed care is always prioritized.
