Trau­ma-informed care means work­ing to avoid retrauma­ti­za­tion in all inter­ac­tion, meet­ing the sur­vivor where they are at, not see­ing sur­vivors as prob­lems to be fixed, rec­og­niz­ing and applaud­ing a sur­vivors strengths and ways of cop­ing and pri­or­i­tiz­ing the sur­vivors needs, choic­es, and ideas. In this work­shops we will learn and prac­tice the skills needs to cre­ate safer spaces for sur­vivors where trau­ma-informed care is always prioritized.

You Are Not Alone - Counselling Group (Session 2 of 6)

Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 6:00pm - 8:00pm

A 6 session counselling group for all genders who are survivors of childhood sexual assault, age 30+, living, working, or attending school in Hamilton. Participants must be available for all 6 sessions.

The group will involve using the 'Courage to Heal Workbook'. Please note: this workbook does use gendered language (she/her), however this group is open to all genders.
