What do we do?
The 24 Hour Support Line offers confidential and anonymous 24-hour non-judgmental telephone support. This service is for adults, 16 years of age or older, who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives and to folks supporting survivors.
I learned that I was not at fault.
The Support Line also offers accompaniment to the:
Hospital - within a week of a sexual assault
Police station when reporting either a recent or past sexual assault/abuse.
We offer assistance with transportation to the hospital and police station, if required.
I learned that what I was feeling is normal.
The 24 Hour Support Line:
Supports survivors of any gender who have experience sexual violence any time in their lives
Supports friends, families, neighbours, co-workers and classmates of survivors, as well as professionals who may be supporting survivors and seeking information
Provides non-judgmental listening
Helps callers to explore their options
Provides information and resources
Helps callers to see that it was not the survivor’s fault
Is responsive to the needs of persons from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
