What do we do?

The 24 Hour Support Line offers confidential and anonymous 24-hour non-judgmental telephone support. This service is for adults, 16 years of age or older, who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives and to folks supporting survivors.

I learned that I was not at fault.

The Support Line also offers accompaniment to the:

  • Hospital - within a week of a sexual assault
  • Police station when reporting either a recent or past sexual assault/abuse.

We offer assistance with transportation to the hospital and police station,  if required.

I learned that what I was feeling is normal.


The 24 Hour Support Line:
  • Supports survivors of any gender who have experience sexual violence any time in their lives
  • Supports friends, families, neighbours, co-workers and classmates of survivors, as well as professionals who may be supporting survivors and seeking information
  • Provides non-judgmental listening
  • Empowers survivors
  • Helps callers to explore their options
  • Provides information and resources
  • Helps callers to see that it was not the survivor’s fault
  • Is responsive to the needs of persons from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

 

We are looking for feedback from 24 Hour Support Line callers.
